      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1st round(50 min) - very simple 2- 3 coding questions. He asked me to tell the idea and than to write the code. 1 question was An array given contains characters and digits. You have to put all the characters after digits. 2nd question a WORD matrix given. A set of strings given. you have to find how many of them are present in the matrix. (word can be present horizontally, vertically or diagonally). 3rd question was the tuff one. A 2-D matrix given of 0 and 1. you have to find the largest rectangular block of 1's in the matrix. He asked me to code all the 3 q.s. I did first 2 perfectly. In 3rd question i couldn't solve it completely. I did partial. 2nd Round (Supposed to be of 45-50 min) but interviewer was so mad because he just woke up in the morning and was rubbing his eyes.. completely uninterested. Well He first asked me area of interest. I told Data structure and Algorithms. He asked me for the Data Structures. I answered tree, graph etc. Than, He which social site do u like. I answered Gmail. Than he said "Let consider I like Facebook" :P. He than added "Which feature do u like in Facbook". I answered "Chatting ". Thans again he answered "Let consider I like "You may know" feature of FB". I said "Ok", Than, He asked me to design it. Second he asked me to design or suggest code for "Top 10 news feed in Fb". I answered. But it wasn't perfect. I told the whole implementaion :P but din't mention word graph. :P I guess this was the mistake. I couldn't qualify for 3rd round. Which was CEO round.
