I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DialogTech (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2020
Interview
First off, let me say I interviewed for the same role (Enterprise Account Executive) with 5 different companies in the industry. I received 4 offers in the process. I had a completely opposite experience as the person below (Senior Accountant). On the initial phone screen, I was asked many tough but relevant questions relating to previous experience, character, and defining the narrative of why I wanted to make a career jump. Coming from a nontraditional SaaS background, that was a narrative I could have easily been ruled out on just on paper- however with Dialogtech that was explored thoroughly. Out of all the recruiters I spoke with through this process, my interviewer and contact Mara was the most professional and a large reason why I chose Dialogtech. I felt well informed and was responded to diligently in preparation for the next step of each process (sometimes even getting messages back to my questions well after-hours).
The process itself was rigorous but beneficial in the end giving confidence both to myself and the hiring team. It's everything mentioned on this forum. Outside interviews, and then they bring you in for multiple team-member panels, followed by a presentation. One of the things I appreciated the most about this process was the fact that both the Sales Manager and VP of Sales scheduled follow up time with me to ask them any questions I had. They expressed that they wanted me to feel like it was a good fit for me as much as it was for them.
Additionally, I loved my time giving a presentation to the team. This is becoming pretty standard across the SaaS space and while interviewing at several other companies, this was basically just a checkmark to go to the next step. However, with Dialogtech I received insightful feedback from multiple team-members on my strategy that will be beneficial to apply in future sales presentations. I was never ruled out based upon my non-traditional experience but was considered for my ability to sell and thought leadership/diversity. I did not find this same intentionality at any other company. In the end, they were confident enough in me to extend an offer, and I was confident enough in the product offering and sales leadership to accept. Excited to get started and join this team!
