I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Dillard's (Meridian, MS) in Jul 2012
Interview
The job interview was easy for sales managers being that they only want to hire someone right away. They speak about salary to men and give them the floor to negotiate. Women are not afforded that opportunity. Along with that I found myself asking most of the questions on the first interview. Candidates who are invited for an interview should know private labels brands.
Very unorganized, no one knew what the other managers were doing. Norma the shoe manger was a nasty person and doesn’t like caucasians. Very back stabbing & they treat sales associates like trash.
I was heavily recruited. It was a smooth process. It consisted of 2 interviews. It was consistent with other retailers. The questions were answered and it was inviting . That’s all I have to say about my experience at Dillards
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Dillard's (Wichita Falls, TX)
Interview
After introductions and light conversation you are asked about your work experience, customer service skills, personality traits, et cetera. Many of the hiring managers keep the interview process light and easy going.
