      Outbound Marketing Interview

      11 Feb 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Oneonta, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Directive (Oneonta, NY)

      Interview

First interview was in the conference room. With the department manager. It went well. Interviewed in Kitchen, well lit, clean and organized. They have since renovated the kitchen looks even better. The CEO was recovering from surgery and couldn't be part of the interview. His wife the COO held the interview, she remoted her husband in on her laptop, which to me was so cool and interesting! I have never seen a live interview like that on a computer. I was nervous but the interview was calm and a welcoming process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If I like bacon. They also asked how much knowledge I had with computers.

      31 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Directive in Nov 2014

      Interview

First I interviewed with the CFO who was very nice. Her dog kept jumping on me and she just let it even though I was very uncomfortable with a dog on my suit pants. I was invited back to interview with who would have been my immediate boss. The interview was in the kitchen and it was very dirty. I was told that I would hear back within a week. Upon not hearing anything, I called to inquire about the position. HR pretended like she had never spoken to me before and told me she would call me back immediately. She never did.

      Question 1

The most difficult question I was asked was what my favorite movie was.

Thanks for the feedback, you're right the dog shouldn't have been allowed to jump on your pant leg. We've fixed that for future interviews. However, we do love pets in the office, in fact, we've doubled down on pets at the office and now have a Puppy Tuesday and Feline Friday where staff bring their pets. It’s a ton of fun! We understand it’s also not for everyone. We too felt the kitchen was a little dingy! We've since completely remodeled the kitchen and of course keep it stocked with soda, snacks and food for our staff to enjoy at no cost. We should have at least called you to let you know we were not interested in offering you a job. It's always been our policy to do so, we apologize for that not being done. We've since reminded HR that we call no matter what, even if it feels uncomfortable to let someone down.
