      Senior Frontend Developer Interview

      1 May 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Gurgaon, Haryana
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Disney+ Hotstar (Gurgaon, Haryana)

      Interview

Very bad experience with the interview process. Got a hackerrank test first, after clearing of which didn't get notified by any of the HRs or recruitment team of hotstar. Post 10-12 days, got a call from 3rd party recruiter that you have been selected for the interview process. So, for the very first interview, a person came. From the very first sentence/discussion, he seemed to be coming with a negative mindset, that is to reject the candidate straightaway. Seemed to be in a lot of hurry. Directly started telling that you have to hurry up and submit all the questions ASAP, as i have to go and get next candidate's interview after this. So, one can assume that this becomes so awkward for a candidate to focus on the problem statement. Nevertheless, i started solving the problems. There were 3 problems in total that he asked. One problem on arrays, the other two on data structure and dynamic programming. I solved the first question fast. As soon as i solved it,he started drilling in a very pessimistic tone, and it seemed like, he was trying to show his ego. This is not the kind of professionalism, a candidate wud like to see from interviewers of a company like Hotstar. After that, i kind of was in the midway of solving the second question, when he started again pressurizing that leave this, move on to the third question. i tried to solve the third question, and successfully did it.!! But all through out , the interviewer was like..."hmm...hmm", "sorry...what !",. "sorry, what were you telling, i didn't listen to you", "can you come again" . Even in the beginning of the interview, he asked me to tell my intro. Even then also, while i was mentioning my work experience, he was so rude that immediately stopped me and told see i'm going to.give you 3 questions and let's focus immediately on that. With such kind of -ve attitude, definitely i thank myself for not getting ahead with any further rounds, because i had understood that what kind of people work here !!
