I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Docusign (Bergen op Zoom) in Sept 2021
Interview
I was recruited via LinkedIn by a recruiter for Docusign for Enterprise Corporate Sales 2. I was impressed by what the recruiter had said and accepted the invitation for an interview. I was sent multiple interview times for the following week, which I responded to that day. The recruiting team took nearly a week to confirm with approximately 24 hours left before the Zoom interview would occur.
I was told the Zoom interview would have a minimum of two from a list of five sales leaders. When I joined the Zoom the interviewers were a couple of minutes late versus being told they would arrive early. I met with three different sales leaders. The meeting was scheduled for 45 minutes however they said they would only meet for 25-30 minutes.
As they conducted the interview it was clear they had not reviewed my LinkedIn or resume prior to the meeting as multiple times during the meeting they kept getting company names incorrect. They also did not seem to be actively listening either as a couple of them asked the same questions the others had asked a moment prior.
During the call they mentioned they spend half their day daily interviewing potential candidates one after another. They then said after the call they would meet and the end of the day to talk about candidates behind their backs to decide if they would be invited back for a practical interview to demonstrate fact finding abilities. One interviewer had decided to leave the interview without a verbal goodbye while another interviewer and I were talking, announcing it via chat only.
After the interview I was left with a taste that this was a very unprofessional management team, as most the management had less than two years tenure with the company.
Two days later I got an email I would not move forward. Overall this was one of the most unprofessional interviewing experiences I have had. For a growing technology firm I would expect much more professionalism.
