Dom and Tom interview questions

I applied online and the HR folks reached out to me - initial screening over the phone then I had a google hangouts meeting face to face with the hiring manager. The interview went so well we both thought this would be a great fit! After the interview, I reached out to the HR folks again to thank them for setting up the interview and am excited for next steps. For 3 weeks after, we e-mailed back and forth waiting to hear on next steps until I finally gave up, then they told me they would have a path to move forward by the end of day or the following day, which I responded to thanking them for letting me know. I never heard back and figured this was a BS company that doesn't respect their candidates time. Looking at the salaries reported on glassdoor now, I may have scared them with my ask but it seems like they were ok with what I initially said on the phone screen. Don't string your candidates along if you don't plan on going forward with them!

After a scree, I was scheduled to interview with the VP of Finance for the internship, I was really excited and determined to discuss how I would have been a great fit for the specific role. After one week, however, I was informed 10 minutes before the interview that it had to be rescheduled because of something that "came up." I received an e-mail about the postpone of the interview from the external HR recruiter that began with "I hope this e-mail find you well." I gladly accepted the postpone of the interview and waited patiently for a few more days. Once I was getting ready for the postponed interview, I received another e-mail an hour before the already postponed interview informing me that they had to cancel it because they weren't "moving forward with the internship" and that I would be "kept in mind for any opportunity in the future." After that, my e-mails weren't returned. No apology, nothing. I understand that things happen, but the level of ambiguous rationale for these kinds of decisions paint a picture for how this company treats the people they are considering. My advice is to move on and to move on quickly if they are on the fence about you. This all took about one week
