I applied through Indeed and got an email from HR for an in-person interview after one day. The interview was based on my experiences and academics. HR mainly focused on my laboratory experience. After the initial questions, HR gave a tour to the lab and wanted to schedule a second interview with the CEO. Later got an email showing interest of hiring for the training period, stated that i'll only get the job if i show that i am able to transition from academia to industry. I'm guessing i took too long to decide whether i wanted to take the job and lost my chance with this company. This is a start-up company and at the time of my interview there was only 8 employees. The lab is quite spacious and equipped.
