Application
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Draeger's Market (Menlo Park, CA (US)).
Interview
I was hired at the age of 15 to be a courtesy clerk- a fancy term for bagger. After 6 years of part time bagging, I was FINALLY promoted to checker. Once promoted, I was promptly transferred to the store which needed me most. I was required to pass a drug test and join the Union. The drug test wasn't a big deal, but the Union saps a lot of money from my check. To become a full time employee I was required to put in 4,500 hours of work.
