Had a phone call with the CFO of the company, just about the position, my experience and background, and if they both align with each other. I then was asked to come in for an in-person interview at their office with the CFO and Director of HR, to discuss more of the expectations, what they're looking for someone to do in the role, and diving more into my experience. I'd say it was fine, except they completely ghosted me. I was asked how I felt about 'ghosting' candidates, and I said I absolutely do not do that and I find it extremely rude. Their response was 'OK good, because we feel the same way. We never ghost' - clearly an absolutely lie. I emailed three times, asking for any update and I never received one, not even a response back. I'd rather you just be honest/straight-up than be a hypocrite and ghost. Seeing the reviews of the company now makes me happy that I didn't join, since it seems pretty dysfunctional.
