I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ESTEC
Interview
The interview process was long, standard interview questions, two interviews. I believe the second interview was useless, seemed repetitive. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, my first interview didn't go to well and I wasn't expecting a second call, but I did. Second interview went great, even talked quite a while about when I can start, got my hopes up, but didn't get an offer. Nonetheless, it was a good experience. Very competitive to get into ESA.
Interview questions [1]

How do you deal with a tight deadline?
Example of a situation working under pressure.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ESTEC (Noordwijk, South Holland) in Dec 2019
Interview
Discussion with the Head of Systems & Concurrent Engineering Section. Not very difficult questions, my personality was more tested than my technical skills. Various questions on the different missions of ESA and where I would like to work.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at ESTEC (Noordwijk, South Holland) in Mar 2015
Interview
In the beginning they took me to a tour at the technical facilities and then the personal interview started.
I was asked technical questions about antennas and there was also an HR member there that asked HR type of questions.
By experience I would suggest you to review the results of previous projects you undertook like thesis, know the subject you are applying for and pay attention during the tour because they are going to ask questions about it later during the interview.
They didn't want you to remember any details but you need to have a very good sense of the area you are going to work , know the basic principles and be critical about them. Good Luck!!!
