      Application

I interviewed at Edpuzzle (Philadelphia, PA)

      Interview

While I appreciate that they provide you with a document of what to expect, this was an EXTENSIVE interview process. It's not that it was necessarily difficult, but it was extremely fast paced and time consuming. First, I had to Zoom interview for 30 minutes with a culture leader. Then, I quickly advanced to a Zoom interview with someone in the School Success department for one hour. Next, I had to complete a performance task which consisted of: creating a slide deck to address THREE different scenarios, participate in a Slack channel of current employees (though none of them interacted with me other than the one in my interview, so why even have this practice?), AND participate in a mock email exchange for at least 4 turns to see how you handle customer service. I was told I'd have four days to do this, which coincided with a previously planned vacation. I asked to start it on a Monday vs a Wednesday and I was told "No. We have others waiting in the pipeline". I spent my VACATION completing all these tasks in UNDER the four day limit. Finally, I went to the next one hour Zoom interview with two different managers. I presented my slides and all went well. They didn't ask a single question or leave any feedback about the email exchange. At the end, they asked me what hesitations or concerns I might still have about the job. Truly, I didn't have any, but figured I would say that while I didn't understand how the coordination of travel works, but that I was confident I could figure it out. They said, "Don't worry. Your manager will help you and we have a travel platform for booking." Great! Then, I get rejected a few days later, with the explanation that I sounded like I didn't understand the travel expectations. For a company that prides itself on hiring former teachers and Instructional Coaches (like myself), shame on them for eliminating someone simply for being curious about how the travel works for this job when they know very well that teachers and coaches don't travel for work!! Never again will I apply for or endorse this platform.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Edpuzzle (South San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2021

      Interview

Took about three weeks. Had three rounds of interviews and then a challenge. Felt really good about the interviews and half way decent on the challenge. Then got the rejection email. It was a fun process. The people who make up Edpuzzle seem really nice and authentic.
