      Administrative Assistant Interview

      28 Apr 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Elevance Health (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2014

      Interview

I had two on-site, in person interviews and one telephonic interview. The first interview was with one of the department managers and a team lead. The telephonic interview was with the interim Director of the department and the Staff VP. The third interview as in person with the interim Director and another department manager. The process was pretty average although at times the interviewers seemed a bit distracted and as though they were not giving their full attention.

      Administrative Assistant Interview

      21 Mar 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elevance Health (Denver, CO) in Mar 2018

      Interview

I was contacted by an HR Coordinator) a few days after i applied online for an initial phone interview were we briefly reviewed my background. She never asked me about my salary requirements. The next week the VP I would be supporting called me and asked if I could come in for a face-to-face interview the following week. I met with her and a team consisting of 2 EAs and a project manager. I really liked all of them and the interview was laid back and more like a conversation. I was initially impressed. A few days later I get a call at 5:15 pm on a Friday and the coordinator told me they wanted to extend an offer and told me what the hourly pay was which was substantially less than my minimum salary requirements but since no one ever asked me what they were what did they expect?? I was thrown off because I thought the next step in the process would be to check my references and discuss my salary requirements. I asked her if the salary was negotiable and she asked me what i had in mind? I made a very reasonable counter offer and she said she would need to check with the VP and get back to me on Monday. She finally calls at 3:30 on Monday afternoon and started the conversation out by stating that this VP "does not entertain counter offers but was willing to make an exception" and offered me less than the counter offer. I explained that under normal conditions I wouldn't have to make a counter offer but seeing as we never discussed my salary expectations I had no other choice. I said I needed a day to think about it and sent her an email less than 24 hours later saying after careful consideration I would accept their offer. I have NOT heard from them since. She did not respond to my email or my voicemail. I consider myself lucky because if that is how they treat potential employees they don't deserve someone of my talents.
