I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Houston, TX) in Dec 2018
Interview
Went through an internal recruiter. After 4 months of keeping in touch with the recruiter, finally a position opened in my area. 1st interview: Met at a hotel, was allotted 1 hour. Was interviewed by 2 district managers. Everything flowed really well and questions were typical STAR. Make sure you do your research on the company and the drugs the division you are interviewing for sells.
1st interview was on a Friday morning, got an e-mail later that day inviting me to 2nd round and am meeting with only one of the distric managers this week for lunch. Waiting for an offer but pretty confident.
Interview questions [7]
Question 1
If you were to open your own Pharmacy and could chose 2 drugs from Lilly’s portfolio to sell what would those be and why?
Was also asked to role play a little cenario (nothing to do with pharma or medical) where I had to convince one of the managers to change their mind about a particular subject.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2025
Interview
This was one of the hardest interview processes I have ever gone through. There are many rounds to the interview, and they use the “STAR” process (you can look this up). If you are interviewing for this company, it’s imperative to study this process so you know how to answer questions correctly. I made it through to the final round of interviews (it was between myself and one other person). In the end, they went with someone more familiar with the territory.

They fly you out and cover your travel expenses and stay through reimbursement. There’s generally two managers playing good cop bad cop. Overall a good interview process and very standard scenarios questions.
