      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at EmPowerHR (Milwaukee, WI) in Sept 2014

      Interview

I began interviewing in Sept. 2014 and it dragged on until the beginning of 2015 due to a company re-org. I had 1 phone interview, 3 in-person interviews in Schaumburg, and 1 in Milwaukee. I sent thank-you letters to everyone I met and included key items we discussed during the interview and how I can help, even sending helpful HR articles to help with HR issues currently being faced with. I followed up with the recruiter more than 3 times. Despite my travel efforts, time for the intense interviewing, and multiple attempts to find out the status with recruiter, nobody told me the final verdict of my candidate status. I think somebody could have at least said, "Sorry, no-thanks" then to simply not reply. Recommendation: Set clear boundaries on your end of how long you're willing to go to wait around to complete the interviewing process.

      Question 1

Know about their Co. Pillars for they will ask you to give examples of times when you had to demonstrate each one. Know if exempt employees can receive OT.

I applied online. I interviewed at EmPowerHR (Schaumburg, IL) in Apr 2017

      Interview

I spoke a couple of times with a recruiter in Michigan. The second time at length. This was for a position in Schaumburg, IL. He stated my background was exactly what they are looking for in their consultants. I then had a telephone interview with a person from the Schaumburg office. She stated that they were in the beginning of their interviewing process and it would be a couple of weeks before they began picking people to come in for interviews and that my contact moving forward would be with my original recruiter. I never heard from anyone so I e-mailed the recruiter. He never responded.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry you did not have a positive experience in our interview process. It does appear we missed a step and failed to close the loop with all candidates. It is our commitment to learn from our mistakes and do our best to move through the interview process with each candidate efficiently with great attention to detail. We would like to make this right, so please contact the recruiter you spoke with previously and we will make sure we follow up with you. We encourage you to revisit EmPowerHR should you find yourself seeking a new opportunity in the future.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EmPowerHR (Milwaukee, WI) in May 2013

      Interview

I applied to an HR Consultant position at EmpowerHR right as I was graduating college in 2013. After applying online I was contacted by their intern to set up an in-person interview in Milwaukee. I met with two consultants and the manager and I have never had such a hostile interview experience in my entire career. The interviewers were incredibly condescending and seemed annoyed by my lack of experience (the extent of which was clearly outlined on my resume…). In hindsight, I probably should have never applied for the position. At the time, I had lived an hour away from Milwaukee, and a phone screen would have saved time if I was the disastrous fit they made me feel like. After the interview, I never heard a word again from the company regarding the position. Even a standard “thanks, but no thanks” e-mail would have sufficed, but never happened. Ultimately, that’s what probably bothered me the most. Two years later (2015) I was contacted by one of their recruiters since my work experience lined up with one of their current positions, and I declined to engage based on my previous poor interview experience. The recruiter was kind, and seemed genuinely interested in what caused the bad impression in order to rectify for future candidates.
