I interviewed at Embark Veterinary
I absoltely loved the people that I met with, we had intelligent conversations and they really made me feel a part of the team. However, I had about 6 rounds of interviews only to find out that they werent ready to hire for that role.
- How to set the long term and short term goals

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary (Boston, MA) in Sept 2022
Went through quite a few interviews (4-5) and created an at home presentation that I then presented. After all of that and being final 3 I didn't even get a denial just silence. Changed my view on the company unfortunately.
- What would cause these seasonal trends?

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary
People seem friendly and the process is a 3-round interview, I had a phone screening, a meeting with the hiring manager and then the final round was with the team. The first 2 steps went well, but they’re really bad with communication and made me wait days on end for a response and constantly used excuses like they were out of office. They made you feel as if you’d get into the next rounds only to ghost you and not respond to your emails. After having a long chain of back and forth only to give you some automated email saying they’ve moved on. This has been one of the worst interview experiences I’ve ever had in a long time.
- Tell me about a previous project you’ve worked on and how you’ve overcome difficulties in it.

- background and job experience, job history and how i deal with supplier and customers

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary in Jun 2022
The interview process was very smooth and well-organized. The recruiter always communicated clearly and efficiently every step of the way. The process itself was intense with five rounds post-recruiter. However, the interview questions and tasks always felt fair, and the interviewers themselves were always friendly and positive.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary
My interview process at Embark Vet was overall very positive. I had a total of 6 interviews over the course of a few weeks. After advancing beyond an initial call with the hiring manager, I was given a presentation prompt to answer. I had to give a presentation to about 8 people, followed by 5 other individual/group interviews. Interview prep required a lot of research about the company, but the prompt and interview questions were totally fair!
- Why do you want to work at Embark?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary (Boston, MA) in Oct 2021
I applied through a referral from an employee. I was already in the middle of another interview process and was transparent about my timeline with the recruiters. They were so accommodating and expedited the process as much as they could, and they communicated updates to me quickly and frequently. I had a screening call with a recruiter, then two more video calls with team members before I received an offer. Everyone was so friendly, the interviews were organic conversations, dogs were a welcome topic, and I could tell they genuinely loved their jobs. The entire interview process was completed in 2 weeks and it was the best candidate experience I have ever had with a company. Don't even think about it, just apply!
- Why Embark? How do you think you could add value to the team?

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary in Sept 2021
I had 5 interviews with Embark over the course of about 6 weeks. I got great feedback along the way and got through the final set of interviews, then...crickets, nothing, nada. I ended up withdrawing my application because that's so unprofessional and a huge red flag. Another red flag was the fact that out of the 5 interviews, only two people had prepared questions. The other 3 seemed to be winging it.
- General questions about my experience. One interviewer asked me which type of personality I dislike the most in an office setting, which I thought was kind of odd.

I applied online. I interviewed at Embark Veterinary (Petaluma, CA) in Aug 2021
I applied via their website after seeing their posting on theladders.com. I was contacted the same day to set up a phone interview with the Sr. Hiring Manager. The interview was very comfortable. She was friendly and warm. We discussed the needs of the CEO and some fun discussion about our dogs. The conversation was enjoyable. She said her only concern in moving forward is that I’m located on the west coast and that may not work for them. She followed up with a very kind email two weeks later, thanking me for my patience. They do want someone who is local to the Boston area, which is completely understandable. So this position is open to some very lucky person who lives near Boston. Seems like a great company to work for, who cares about their people, and are passionate about their vision. I sincerely wish them every good thing.
- I never got the dog question. German Shepherd of course.

Initial interview is with a senior product manager. Interviewer has been very 'to-the-point' with his questions, but also very straightforward and accommodating answering mine. I will look forward to my next interview, to learn more about the role, the company and overall expectations from a product manager.
- Overcoming a major design/development difficulty
