Interview
The interview session was held at 11 a.m. this morning. Both the hiring HR staff and I entered the room 5 minutes earlier in the Zoom meeting room. However, the hiring manager was fashionably late to the interview session for 15 minutes. We wait for the hiring manager until 11:10 a.m., I left the room because the hiring manager is still not in the room at the moment for the interview session. After I feedback to the hiring team regarding to this issue, the hiring team apologized and claimed that the hiring manager face unforeseen circumstances (particularly a traffic jam) and was in the Zoom meeting at 11:15 a.m.
If this is the reason why the hiring manager is late to the meeting, I expect a better action from the hiring manager that he/she should inform me regarding to the late arrival for the interview session via phone/email/through HR team. However, we wait in the room for 15 minutes with the absent of the hiring manager without early notice. This reflected that the hiring manager did not respect the interview session, interviewee, and the HR department. In addition, the hiring manager is not punctual. The hiring team needs improvement on time management and interview ethics. Overall, I have experienced a bad interview session here. However, the HR team still did nice job from screening my application till the interview session. This should not happen again in the coming interviews in the future.
