I was invited to the process by someone on LinkedIn and it was mentioned that language skill was not mandatory. On the day, the hiring manager began the interview in a language different from English (which was being used so far in all communication and job description) which caused a bad impression, as it felt the process was disorganised and that people didn't talk to each other. The manager who conducted the interview seemed to be uninterested in being there, bored and did not express any enthusiasm about me joining the team, which showed a lack of interview training and social skills. That didn't help in motivating me to want to go work for them either. I don't know why I was invited to this process to waste my time and theirs. I was supposed to have a reply, probably negative, after a couple of weeks, but they didn’t bother and I was ghosted. The process - as mentioned it would be - seemed old fashioned, with old school logic tests, and not aligned with the image they try to project. Also, in-person work and relocation to Lisbon are mandatory, when everyone wants to go remote-first and WFH. Overall, they could use more organisation, friendliness and respect towards the candidates.
