Applicants under consideration are emailed a link to conduct a "one-way video interview". During this process, the applicant is instructed to self-record responses to interview questions with a countdown timer running (there is no company rep on the other end).
An interview is intended to be a two-way conversation to determine fit for BOTH parties; it's not a one-way performance. It's a flawed and incompetent recruitment process that will not be embraced by top-tier talent. It doesn't reflect well on organizational reputation or company culture. Happy to dodge that bullet.
