      Lead Developer Interview

      16 Jul 2021

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Equinox in Jul 2021

      Interview

A couple of weeks ago I got hit up on LinkedIn by a recruiter supporting a lead role with Equinox. We had our screening call and he scheduled an interview with the company’s tech recruiter. Nobody called me or emailed regarding my interview being rescheduled. The recruiter I spoke to on LinkedIn was very apologetic saying the person who was supposed to interview me was out. A few days later I heard from that tech recruiter from Equinox who never called me, and they wanted to interview me for a position I never applied for. After I brought that up, their tech recruiter apologized for the confusion and confirmed that they could interview me for the position I actually applied for. Another call was scheduled… and nobody called me, again. Maybe Equinox is a great company, I’ll never know. But it does not really matter what you write in your company’s mission or code, when your hiring process is something like this. First impressions matter.

      Question 1

This interview was scheduled twice and both times I got ghosted. One time they reached out to me was when they wanted to interview me for something I never applied for.
