I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Equinox (Dallas, TX) in May 2015
Interview
The interview process is fairly easy. However, they are looking for sex appeal since you'll be selling memberships at a gym. In addition to your appearance, they would like to know that you have done your research on the company and you have worked in a direct selling position for at least a year.
Hour long extensive phone interview w/recruiter in Austin. Very pleasant but did not ask any job specific questions. Talked about equinox, wanted personal information and talked comp. Commission based role, start at 30k base, drops off after few months, avg total comp 50 to 100k, top performers make 150-175k. Great benefits and free group classes and membership. Followed up 2 weeks later, never heard back from anyone.

Question 1
Did not ask any job related questions. I tailored my questions and gave examples from recent roles that were related to fitness and the sales position.
35 min after an already extensive interview, she wanted more information about me! my entire career from 20 years prior. Perhaps others may be asked about jobs from junior high or grade school, so best to be prepared!
It was a 2 step interview process. Not very intense or pressuring. Both individuals who interviewed left a lot of opportunity to ask questions and were willing to answer with honesty.
