Eurofins had only 3 positions open for the above role and had called around 350-400 people for the interview process to be completed in a single day! First was the written round. Questions were asked about SQL, Testing concepts , Basic OS, network concepts. This was followed by the technical round. There were only 4 people to interview around 150 people who got selected to the next round! The entire process was chaotic to say the least. The recruitment team was not prepared to handle the event. Only after lot of persuasion we were allowed for a lunch break. Many who had cleared the written round left out of frustration post lunch.
If the company is planning to hire only for 3-4 positions, it is best to filter out the candidates during initial screening instead of calling 400 people for 3-4 positions. It is just an unfair practice.
