Went through the interview process with Evadav for a lead role.
This wasn’t my first experience with the company. The previous time, after several conversations, the process just ended with no follow-up or rejection, so this time I tried to clarify expectations early before investing more time into it.
The role was initially presented as a lead position focused on processes, automation, operations, and team direction. But after reviewing the test task and discussing the role in more detail, it became clear they were mainly looking for a very hands-on individual contributor who would also manage people on top of day-to-day production work.
The biggest issue was that the actual role didn’t really match how it was initially presented.
I also didn’t like the interview approach. I had already shared a detailed portfolio and offered alternatives like a live whiteboard/problem-solving session or a paid task, but the process was still heavily focused on unpaid test assignments. For lead-level hiring, that felt outdated.
To their credit, this time they at least closed the loop and gave direct feedback instead of ghosting, which was better than my previous experience.
Overall, I’d strongly recommend clarifying the real scope of the role early in the process — especially the balance between leadership responsibilities and hands-on execution.
