      Account Manager Interview

      7 Feb 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Everforth Apex Systems in Feb 2012

      Interview

Interview was straight forward. First the recruiter called and checked me out and then I met with a local manager for a face-to-face interview. The recruiter asked the typical questions on "whats your background." "Why do you think you would fit the job." The face-to-face interview was pretty casual. The whole thing was more of a conversation which is typical of sales positions. In all reality, he was looking for someone who could build relationships right from the start. I have no doubt he was looking for personality traits that would fit his desired description on the ability to build relationships and the desire for hiring someone long term. It was a base of 27-30K plus commission with expectations of making about 50K your first year. I had to call to find out they hired someone else but I did get the privilege of talking with the hiring manager and asked him some constructive criticism on what he thought of my interview. That was extremely appreciated! Overall, this was a good experience.

      Interview

Two rounds. First with recruiter and then with the team. The team I met was insufferable. These people really thought they were gods or something. The whole job is just cold calling all day which is nothing special. One of them bragged about "meeting the CEO of Microsoft" and the other about how "all the account managers here are millionaires". It was like something out of the movie Boiler Room. "It's not about if your going to be a millionaire, it's about how many time over" -Ben Affleck. Terrible experience. Also, at the end of Boiler Room the whole company gets raided by the FBI...

      Account Manager Interview

      4 May 2025

      Vancouver, BC
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everforth Apex Systems (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2025

      Interview

A very structured company with genuinely amazing people. I went through 3 rounds of interviews and had the chance to speak with the recruiter, the hiring manager, and a member of the leadership team. Every single person I spoke with was incredibly accommodating, respectful, and thoughtful throughout the process. It was a truly positive interview experience from start to finish. I decline because I could not commit to the start date and had an emergency which required me to travel outside the country. Also, the 10 days PTO in the first year did not work for me.
