It was a really easy interview along with asking questions about the brand, your availability/hours, experience with customers, and your knowledge about sustainability. Including having some retail knowledge is always a big plus to land a sales associate position.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everlane (Washington, DC) in Jan 2025
Interview
one interview -- just asked about past experience in retail and a time you stepped up in a retail setting. i think there was also a question about how you would approach a customer in the store and you were running fitting rooms.
I applied online. I interviewed at Everlane (Boston, MA) in Oct 2020
Interview
A few days after I applied, I was called for a phone interview. Just asked basic interview questions like name strengths and weaknesses, etc. Then, was later told through e-mail to arrive in-person for an interview.
I arrived a few minutes earlier and I could hear the manager whisper to a co-worker that I wasn't scheduled for an interview (after the interview, I made sure to see that I got the time and date right--it was). Gave me scenario questions and personality questions. I thought the interview went pretty okay despite the bump in the beginning. I never heard back from them, even after I followed-up a few days after.

Question 1
If a customer tries something on--and it doesn't look good on them--and they ask for your opinion, what do you say?
