Yet another company that ghosts candidates after they've put in hours of work on a case study. The first step was a meeting with the hiring manager. I was then asked to work on a design case study. The scope of the assignment was, as it often is, way too big. I was basically asked to analyze the whole product, list potential issues, and then design solutions. They also wanted me to prepare a presentation with all my findings and designs as my final delivery. So I spent 20+ hours on the case study and the presentation and sent it in. I was then invited to present to the hiring team. I thought the presentation went well and they said they would get back to me "within a few days". One month later and I still haven't heard back from them. Not even a generic rejection email. I can understand if I didn’t make the cut but after all the time I spent on the case study, basically working for free, I would, at the very least, expect to get some feedback from them.
