Was approached by a recruiter over LinkedIn. Had a screening interview with the recruiter. Was asked about salary expectations, and when I deflected, they gave me a range, which was below my current salary. I mentioned that I was not interested in taking a pay cut, but decided to move forward with a discussion with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was nice, and was informed that they wanted to move to a formal interview. Interview was with five people, four of whom were managers for neighbouring departments as well as HR. Went reasonably well. Was informed that the committee was meeting end of week. Following week, did not hear anything, so followed up with the recruiter and was told that the meeting was pushed back due to PTO of some of the committee. Following week was informed that they decided to move with a different candidate.
