I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil
Interview
Originated at career fair. Was told that if I was chosen for an interview I would receive an email THAT NIGHT in which I would be given further instructions about attending their info sessions the next day. At the end of the info session they gave everyone their interview dates, times, and interviewer name. The interview was on campus. Standard behavioral type questions with a couple 'getting to know you' questions thrown in. If you prepare, it's not difficult. Was told at the end of that interview that I would receive an email in a week or so that let me know I made it to the second round or not. If so, it would be a phone interview. I'm still waiting on the email as of now.

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ExxonMobil

Very friendly and open-minded interviews in three steps. First management and directly afterwards on supervisor level, third on general management and HR level.
Questions were rather on general level, than technical expertise.
I applied online. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Singapore)
Interview
A sit down talk with a few technical leads, something like a panel interview, but less formal.
Questions asked were more on interest and fit, rather than technical expertise as it was just an internship interview.

Interview
One first round interview in person through the university. The interviewer then told me that if I had a successful first round interview I would have a phone screening as a second round interview.
