Terrible and inequitable interview process. It dragged on, and was overly burdensome, required “homework” (aka free work), and ended up in a BS excuse of why they didn’t hire me.
I went through a phone interview, a 2nd interview, turned in an entire campaign plan, and when I told them that I had another offer in transparency but was interested in working for them, they added yet a third and last minute interview (via video call).
In the end, they told me I was not extended the job because I had “never worked a remote job before” and they had concerns over that specific lack of experience.
Give me a break. First off, this was before COVID. It was pretty clear that everyone was going into the office. And my type of job was not going to be remote (lobbyist/campaigner). Why waste my time if you knew I had never* worked a remote job based on my resume? Perhaps to take free work and get a campaign plan out of it??
