I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Finish Line (Hartford, CT) in Mar 2013
Interview
Efficient. Friendly. Informative. Elaine Harrington was super nice and welcoming. She answered all my questions I had about the company and its direction. Her office was neat and tidy indicative of someone in control of her environ. She also helped me to understand how the hiring process worked at the company and what to anticipate as the next steps.

Interview
Applied online for a store manager position. I emailed the DM via LinkedIn to express my interest in the position. Another store manager reached out to me and did an interview on the spot. She was very nice and the interview lasted about 40 minutes. Once she was done she forwarded my information onto the DM. The DM set up an interview for later that day. He called me and we did an interview and he asked me what position I was looking for. I told him store manager, as I've been very successful in store and district management in the past. He told me that they only promote within and that I'd have to come in as an assistant manager and promote to store manager later on. I didn't really agree with that considering first off, I didn't apply for assistant manager so I clearly wasn't interested in that position, secondly I was misled because I did two interviews before they told me that. It really seemed to be a waste of my time and I don't really appreciate my time being wasted and getting my hopes up. The ASM salary isn't even something that would be feasible for someone who really needs to make a living. I think it would've been a great company, had they offered me the job I applied for.

A job description is a list that a person might use for general tasks, or functions, and responsibilities of a position. It may often include to whom the position reports, specifications such as the qualifications or skills needed by the person in the job, and a salary range. Job descriptions are usually narrative,[1] but some may instead comprise a simple list of competencies; for instance, strategic human resource planning methodologies may be used to develop a competency architecture for an organization, from which job descriptions are built as a shortlist of competencies.

very long, multiple interviews with different people. It is a very simple process just long. not a hard interview though. I really don't know what else to say about the interview process.
