FirstSouth Mortgage interview questions

The interview process was enjoyable and comfortable. I had three interviews. The first one was with the sales manager that lasted about an hour and a half. It felt like a long social conversation. I was asked questions like an interview is supposed to be, however, I felt comfortable and learned a lot about the atmosphere at FirstSouth, about the interviewer, and of course about the career opportunity. I was so relaxed that by the end of the interview, I didn't realize I was there as long as I was. I was asked to another interview, the next day, to meet with the other sales manager and the training manager. Same thing, I felt comfortable and felt like I was having a meeting at a job I already had. They were honest about the opportunity; it's not for everyone but, if you truly work hard and are diligent, you can be very successful. The training manager explained how the training works; it's hands on. They train you from the very beginning of the loan process to the very end. It's hands on training verses a classroom style, which is great because you learn every step while you're working through it. Anyhow, by the end of my last interview, I knew in my heart that this company truly cared about their employees and I definitely wanted to be a part of their 'family'! Needless to say, I received a phone call a few hours later and was offered the job! I accepted! This opportunity is the best decision I had made in the work place. This isn't just a job, this decision was the first step to a wonderful career at FirstSouth.

This company is such a joke that they made me go back 3x for an interview and no formal letter to follow up whether I am qualified or not. I know that I am over qualified for this position and it's ashame that they offer way below your expectations. For those of you seeking to get into the mortgage business, think twice to apply for this company, they will waste your time and not a friendly atmosphere!
