FiscalNote Engineer interview questions

Applied online and within a week had a screening interview set up with a recruiter. The call went well, and she referred me on to the hiring manager. Had an hour long phone call with the manager that also went really well, less technical and more about my ideas for the role (it was a new role that were still creating). A few weeks passed and they asked me to come in for a 4-hour interview. It was really 4 different 1-hour interviews, and I ended up getting asked the same questions. Two hours were devoted to object modeling despite the fact that it had very little to do with the data work they were looking for. The whole process felt disorganized and not thought through, and I could tell they really didn't have a good sense of what they were looking for. Before the interview, the recruiter was checking in with me regularly. After the interview I felt ghosted. A month after the interview I reached out and was like "I guess I didn't get it, huh?" and they were like "yeah, no, you didn't get it". Not sure they were ever going to tell me.
