The process started with a typical recruiter call, where we discussed the role, compensation range, relocation, and whether the opportunity made sense based on my background. After that, I met with a manager at the firm. That conversation focused more on my experience, client-facing background, investment knowledge, and how I would handle different market or client scenarios. The mock call portion was difficult.
The final step was with a Vice President, who ultimately made the hiring decision. That interview was more detailed and included questions about the markets, inflation, current events, and how I would communicate with clients during uncertain periods. Overall, the process was professional, straightforward, and much more conversational than overly formal. The team was transparent about the role, expectations, and career path.
