I believe the interview process for the Investment Counselor role was a great experience. I was contacted by a 3rd party recruiter. Recruiter started the application process for me. I was contacted by HR to schedule phone interview which was a 45 min call getting to know you and your experience in the industry. Next, I completed a video interview with multiple leaders and HR managers, and at the end was a 10-15 minute mock call discussing market events with common client objections. Prior to the video interview the recruiter scheduled a 45 minute phone call to help prepare for the interview and mock call. In the video interview I noticed something different than what most companies do. It was a 3 hour interview with multiple senior staff. I believe this is beneficial to the interviewee because it allows for a better chance of connecting rather than just having one or two individuals making the hiring decisions. I can’t find any things that I would change through the process I appreciated every step taken all the way up into the offer phone call. Some people connect better in person, but we are in a different environment these days. Advice- practice mock phone call multiple times, study the articles that is given to you by Fisher.
