I applied for the role online and did not hear back from FitXR almost 6 weeks later. The interview had to be set up via an online calendar portal system. The first stage interview was with the HR recruiter and took place about 5 days from the initial shortlisting email. The interview experience was positive and the HR recruiter was polite, friendly and respectful. Upon review of my experience and after our discussions the HR recruiter advised that I would be a great fit for the team and that I should be expecting to hear about the next interview with the recruiting manager within a week. 7 days had passed and I had heard nothing back so I followed up with an email a day later to enquire and was told that due to the high number of interviews that I will now be hearing about next steps almost another week later. A few hours from this correspondence I received a generic email advising me that my interview process will not be going anything further and that they will not providing any feedback due to the high volume of candidates. I emailed the HR recruiter back directly and thanked the company for the opportunity and to be kept in mind for the future, to which I still have had not had any response. Although the interview itself was pleasant, it was evident that the HR recruiter did not have much insight into the role they were interviewing for. This does lead to me wonder whether the information I conveyed to the HR recruiter was adequately relayed or whether the recruiting manager did even properly look into the first stage candidates as I know that my highlighted experience and application matched what they required within their job description. To conclude I believe that FitXR should be more mindful about setting up expectations with their interviewees regarding the post and future steps and also to be more forthcoming about what they are looking for within a candidate.
