I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Fix Auto (Newport, Newport, Wales) in Feb 2024
Interview
Very informal, a basic chat with general manager discussing relevant experience and skills and offered an immediate start.
I was made to feel at ease and given a tour, introduced to the team.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Fix Auto
Interview
A friendly interviewer, and I was offered the job at the end of the interview. However, the negative experience comes with what happened due to him not explaining the job as thoroughly as I wish he would have, or asking important questions. He didn't ask me if I had my license, and didn't inform me that I needed one for the job. It was a very uncomfortable first day when I realized I needed to drive the cars, and I had no license. I told the manager that interviewed me that I wasn't able to drive, and he said he assumed that I had my license because it is a car place. I felt very foolish and embarrassed for not thinking to ask them that initially in the interview, but I needed work and knew very little about the job. Maybe it isn't very wise to make assumptions when hiring new employees.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The manager asked me if I was able to do physically demanding work.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Fix Auto (New York, NY)
Interview
During the interview they didn't ask me any questions. I came in 15min early they had me fill out an application and I waited to be called back. She just told me about the company and said she will be contacting people later if she decides she wants to do a 2nd interview.
