I applied for a paraprofessional position at Flagler Palm Coast High school and received a call from an assistant principal for an interview within two days. When I arrived she introduced herself and another AP. I thought the position was going to involve a normal class and they wanted an extra pair of hands to assist students with math assignments and such but they wanted me to work one on one with students with intellectual disabilities and behavioral issues. I do not have any experience or training for that type of position so I explained to them what I was expecting and they appreciated my honesty and willingness to be up front with the matter. They said that if I changed my mind or another opportunity arose that I could call them.
