The interview process was ridiculously long. I initially had to send a video describing myself and why I would like to work at flora and curl (took ages) eventually got sent another task (also ridiculously long) then had to present it to the CEO. After a long and positive call I then got sent ANOTHER task which I did then got offered the position, which we were both very excited about. Before signing we got into the discussion about salary and how she would be unable to offer me what I wanted due to my lack of experience in her niche space. I then accepted the low ball offer as I was excited to work in the space. We then got into the discussion of working remotely and how I would be sent an IMac (desktop) to work from - meaning this would be a WFH job not a remote one which she had falsely advertised and used as a ‘perk’. I questioned it and all hell broke loose. The CEO then decided she wanted loads of references and other documents before turning around and saying she was no longer hiring me. We argued for a while and she was shocked that someone had questioned her shady methods. So basically I did an insane amount of work, accepted less money just for her to be offended that I called her out on false advertising. So if you interview here DO NOT ask ANY questions otherwise she might get offended and decide not to hire you. Walking red flag, avoid really odd behaviour.
