I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Food Lion in Jan 2009
Interview
I interviewed with the recruiter and was then sent to the District Manager and another store Manager. It was not a very indepth. They did not check references or even make sure I didn't lie on the application. They were in a bind and needed to fill a position ASAP. They would of hired anyone that walked through the door that said they had experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at Food Lion (Lumberton, NC) in Sept 2016
Interview
interviewed by a panel of my peers, was panel quizzed by my District Manager and 3 specialist within the Food Lion Banner. Was given the opprotunity to express my views and opinion.
Initial phone call from the "talent acquisition team" and an appointment for an interview. Initially involved asking me if I was still interested and assigning another call back one week later.

Question 1
What areas do you think you need to improve as a manager?
The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Food Lion (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
Computers screen applications, then the recruiter had to reach out, and interview you. Once this happened, I was to meet a panel of "leadership" personnel a few days later. I did. First off, they had to fumble through other apps to find mine. Then, they didn't even know I was downsized from previous employer. (Not fired, and undisclosed to recruiter. THEN, my employer was "employer A" before my most recent, and they said "oh, so you also worked at "employer B?"..... I said "no...... Employer A". No real interviewing at all. I've been an SM before, and my most recent position was a high profile position for well known company. I have over 11 years of leadership and Six Sigma training..... They offer me an entry level shift supervisor position?. That's not even a respectable offer , hats a PUNCH in the face and a kick out the store while laughing!
