The interview process consists of two rounds: an initial interview and a final interview. Prior to each interview, applicants are provided with a set of questions approximately 20 minutes in advance. This allows candidates some time to organize their thoughts, formulate structured responses, and feel more prepared for the discussion. The initial interview typically serves as a preliminary screening, assessing the applicant's qualifications, teaching philosophy, and alignment with the institution's mission. The final interview is more in-depth, often involving a teaching demonstration, scenario-based questions, and discussions about contributions to the department and college community. I interviewed on December 6, 2024. I send an email to the HR rep in January and February 2025. I finally heard back on February 19, with this information:
“Thanks for checking in again. I recently received the decision on this. Here was the situation: When posted, this position was originally intended to fill one vacancy. As the search went on, a rising need became apparent, and the department was seeking approval to fill a second position with this posting. The first position was filled, and we were awaiting approval on the second position. Due to recent restructuring within the area, this additional position was not approved. I apologize that this decision took quite some time to arrive. We wish you the best in your career search."
