The company advertised for a vacancy for a Systems Administrator in the local newspaper. The candidate was required to have thorough knowledge of computer desktops maintenance, troubleshooting, backups, antivirus, software and OS installations, printer repairs and maintenance and also network troubleshooting and maintenance viz I/O points, crimping and punching, network connectivity, switch and router configuration, etc.
Upon calling up the office, a walk-in interview was scheduled for me wherein I was asked basic computer troubleshooting and maintenance questions by the then Events Incharge (since he seemed like the only person with adequate computer knowledge). Thereafter, I was interviewed by the Managing Director on my personal background and issues like salary agreement and travel compensation to the branch office at the Dabolim Airport.
The overall interview and hiring process was really easy.
