      Assembler I Interview

      25 Oct 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Maple Cross, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Freespace (Maple Cross, England) in Oct 2023

      Interview

Online application then two days later a very short, dis-jointed email asking for a conversation to discuss my experience. I thought this was a bit odd as my cv is very comprehensive. The member of freespace personnel was hell bent on only speaking to me at the a difficult time (16.30) difficult as it is not a break. I told her this but insisted this was the only time. I re scheduled my break to suit them which was not convenient for me. It was very difficult to understand most of what this person said as their accent was very strong and barely English, i reckon i only got about 4 words in every 10, which made this process very difficult. Most of what i could understand were questions that were very obviously and in detail explained on my cv, so i guess they had not taken the time to read it. I politely explained that i was having difficulty understanding what they were saying so they just repeated it in the same manner making no effort to slow down or punctuate what they were trying to say. I went away from thisinterview with a very negative experience of the company, but having looked at the reviews on glassdoor i can see the company has "issues" with their personnel dept amongst many other things.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Nearly all the questions that were asked were explained on my cv, asking me who i worked for, for instance which is of course what a cv is for and details this.
