The recruiter was quite unprofessional. When scheduling the initial interview, she didn't respond until one day before the call and I messaged multiple times following up with her. On the day of the call she called four hours early and zoomed through the questions without giving me the chance to ask any questions to learn more about the role and company.

Question 1
What do you know about the company and why do you think you'd be a great fit for this role?
I applied online. I interviewed at Fresh Prep Foods in May 2024
Interview
I applied online. An HR person reached out and scheduled a screening interview, which was 30 mins and covered the basics. The next round was with a VP and Director. It was 60 mins, and not very difficult - mainly interesting conversation and genuine connection. After that, a surprise was that there was a take-home assignment - not ever discussed as part of the process. It was given on a Thursday and due on the Saturday of a long weekend. Bizarre. The assignment required specific strategy and recommendations that could easily be applied to this org, regardless of whether or not they hired you. This is sneaky, and to be pitched as "we want to see how you think" is BS. I submitted the assignment and then heard back from HR that they wanted to book a time to discuss it, and then never heard from them again. They completely ghosted me. So rude and unprofessional. I would never work for this company and am so sorry I wasted my time.
They offer you an interview and then ghost you. False hope. I never even got a chance to talk to them since they never answer emails. The least you can do is respond, but I had to send them 4 follow up emails to finally get a response saying they've moved on. No apology either.
