The process got off to a smooth start and progressed quickly. I went through 8 rounds of interviews across all levels of employees, at the end of which the recruiter hinted at an offer and asked me to prepare references. After checking all my references, there was silence for 3 weeks. Finally they came back with a rejection. It seemed like a waste of time for my references. The process doesn’t seem very logical to me, or that there isn’t too much coordination between the different players. I would urge them to introspect how they communicate with candidates and set clear expectations from the start.
