The interview took about a week. The person I spoke to on the phone was very nice and within a couple of days, we did a screen share to demonstrate my knowledge with Google Analytics. He was pleased and invited me to the office. The office itself was very unimpressive. It was inside a very old, very dirty business park. (Of coarse this had no bearings on the interview itself but it was foreshadowing to me of things to come) I spoke with the person I had the original phone interview and screen sharing test with and I found him to be very pleasant. I was suppose to be talking to the CEO but he was late. I had the impression that this was a well functioning PPC company but I didn't see a single person except for the hiring manager. (I did catch a glimpse of one person getting water while I did interview with the CEO) Finally the CEO arrived but was 20-30 minutes late. I have to say; this was probably one of the worst interviews I have ever had. I wasn't sure if it was because it was his allergies (he was sniffing the whole time) or because he had a bad day but he was incredibly rude. The CEO was very uninterested in what I had to say and barely made any eye contact with me. He did ask about my skills but threw me a curve ball when he asked about my CRO skills. Something that wasn't mentioned on job description. I answered it to the best of my ability but it made him more irritable. Overall, this interview was pretty bad. I think it would have saved us some trouble if he had just told me "Thank you, we will call you" after I got done introducing myself. I didn't get the job obviously but I'm not exactly losing sleep over it either.
