GOAT Group Senior Machine Learning Engineer interview questions

They reached out to me over email. Intro call with HR. HM and I discussed their needs, which was basically what I did at my last job. I had a semi technical case study interview. I asked how to prepare and they basically said they'd be going over my background and some basic ML but I shouldn't have to prepare. Well, the interview didn't go into my background and was a case study on Anomaly Detection given by a person with a heavy accent that had some definite communication issues. I felt I performed OK and even I checked my answers afterwards; I didn't answer anything incorrectly. But I also didn't get overly specific since it was pretty abstract and general case study. But they felt that I didn't have sufficient ML experience from this interview. Honestly I'm confused and I feel like my whole experience with them was unprofessional and had poor communication with respect to their needs, expectations and evaluation standards.
