      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GPS Trackit in Feb 2021

      Interview

I can’t say enough great things about my interview experience with GPS Trackit. Highly recommend. I heard back about a month after I applied. Scott, their head of marketing reached out. To say he is impressive is an understatement. I had two different video calls with Scott during the process and you can tell he’s a stand up man who is excited about and knows marketing. Scott showed me a presentation on the company values and explained in detail what the position would entail and what has been done with marketing. What Scott shared very much aligns with my personal and professional values. It appears that the company understands what it takes to motivate employees and has put together a company culture that bonds employees. I also appreciated that Scott asked me what I like to read. I felt that he had an interest in getting to know me as a person, unlike some companies that just treat their employees like numbers. Throughout the interview process I had a chance to also meet with Beth from marketing who I also found very impressive. She seems like a smart girl who knows her data marketing and her personality is very likable, like Scott’s. Beth worked with Scott at a different company. Having had met with him, I could see why she would want to move onto the company he moved onto. I think it says wonders about how great Scott would be to work for that he had an employee follow him. My final interview was with the CEO. He has great energy and also seems like he has some great things planned for the company. GPS Trackit seems like a stand up company and their marketing team is doing great things! Not to mention, their product seems very impressive. I highly recommend interviewing with them. Unlike some other companies, I felt like they valued my time and asked great questions. They also did not require a test assignment such one of those SAT type tests. Scott does not believe in giving candidates assignments that take hours to complete. If there were to be an assignment, it would have taken less than an hour. While I did not get a job offer, Scott was so polite and caring in the rejection email. We have connected on Linkedin and I hope someday I will have the pleasure of working with him.

      Question 1

What publications do you read? I don't remember the other questions but felt that what was asked assessed my skills well.
