I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GSK (Madrid) in Jan 2012
Interview
My interview began 35min after the meeting time and I saw a previous candidate leave the office. My interview started with 2 on 1 questioning with GSK's Marketing Director and Regional Director that latter became a 1:1. As soon as I entered I was debriefed with what they were looking and asked about my professional experience.
Although they had a very good recommendation from a former boss and current global VIP, they had already selected a candidate by the time of my interview. As I flew from Barcelona to Madrid for this interview, they were ashamed to tell me upfront so they continued the process "as usual" but the lack of interest was obvious on the spot. I think it was unprofessional behavior to interview me as a favor to other VIPs.
I applied online. I interviewed at GSK (London, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
Very good recruitment process that fast and efficient compared to others companies. Excellent 2 ways communication. After the interview I was able to informally discuss further with the line manager and ask additional questions.

Question 1
Short Presentation + questions about CV and experiences
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GSK (London, England)
Interview
Applied on their talent portal. Had a first screening with HR over the phone. Several weeks later I was invited to a face to face interview with the hiring manager. A week or two later invited for a second interview to do a presentation which they provided the information in advance, and followed up by just a couple more competency based questions. Be patient in hearing back from HR.

Question 1
During the screening stage expect to be asked why the company and why the role. Face to face: Standard interview questions (walk me through your CV, etc), competency based questions according to the job spec, and then a round of questions that relate to their principles. Specially this last part requires thinking on your feet and not pre-rehearsed answers. You won't be able to anticipate which direction they'll take with your answers, so honesty will take you a long way. In doing the presentation don't leave any stones unturned and keep in mind who will be your audience.
