I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at GSP Companies in Feb 2024
Interview
Third party headhunter contacted me and asked if I was interested in an AM role. The reviews are rough, but I took the convo to see.
My initial conversation with the AD was great! Very promising, encouraging, LOVED my experience. I didn’t get a sense of the bad comments from this person at all.
Note: I was asked if I can commute to an office, but the role is remote. I said yes, I can commute to an office - thinking that I’d be going to one place semi regularly. This position actually involves driving ~500 miles a week in my personal vehicle, without reimbursement, compensation, or a company car.
Next convo involving training was not so pleasant. This person has all the traits of the bad reviews, and gives you attitude immediately. When I asked questions, they were judged and dismissed and I was treated as if I am lazy - I was asking if 55hrs/week is expected normally. I asked about the mileage requirement and was told we could work on it, but was sarcastically asked if “I expected a chauffeur to the airport too?”
My car is 15 years old, I’ve been underemployed for months. I need a job, I’m happy to use my car, but my car can’t handle that kinda mileage right now. I need some kind of compensation, reimbursement, or rental for the mileage they wanted. I was honest about that and firmly believe that’s why I didn’t get the job.
I knew at that point that it wasn’t looking good. I’m VERY qualified for this role. Company and recruiter blew me off after that, lol.
Advice to management: please reconsider the key people in your candidate experience.

I interviewed with a recruiter out of Florida shortly after I applied for the position. She asked me some very general questions surrounding what I felt the role of Account Manager should be. She indicated, she was very interested in me and would email the hiring manager so him and I could meet. Several weeks past and I received an email from the recruiter asking if I was still interested in the position and to call her. I called, she didn't even remember talking to me weeks before, then it clicked with her. She asked had I met with the hiring manager and I said, "no". She said she would get on him and get a meeting. It never happened!! Even though the claim was made they were in need of getting the position filled ASAP.
With our growth this year we have been on quite a hiring spree. We strive to make every candidate experience a positive one and apologize that yours was not. You are encouraged to re-engage with us for further consideration.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GSP Companies (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2023
Interview
Very long interviews, three interviews with HR, leader and trainer of the role. Emails back
And forth with no responses sometimes. They were Not prepared to Hire within the month or two almost felt like a backfill “just in case” someone quits. No follow up to moving on with other candidates or if hired.
