I was contacted by a recruiter to begin the process. The conversation with the recruiter was just like any other conversation. She set up a call between myself and the senior vice president. The day of that call, the SVP no showed, and I had to reach out to the recruiter. She apologized and asked if we could reschedule for later in the day. I agreed. Once again he was late. We did speak and the conversation with SVP went very well. But then the big push began. He insisted that I speak with his boss via Skype the next morning at 8 a.m. I had already had an appointment so I declined and ask for a different day, since I would be in a car.
They insisted and decided to schedule a phone call instead. And guess what, that call got cancelled the next morning. So, again, They rescheduled for a different date. And once again, they were nearly 30 minutes late. After that call, svp requested to Skype with me at the end of the week. When it came time for that meeting, once again no show. We finally were able to connect a couple days later. Mind you I have not met with anyone but two people within the organization. I have not traveled to meet anyone in their California offices. I don't have a very good understanding of their organizational structure. With that they still extended me an offer. Since the offer was well below my range I countered . They asked for a follow up call with me to discuss, and shocking- they never called. so disrespectful.
I felt the respect for my time, and the push to get me on boarded without having all the information just was not a good fit.
I warn anyone out there interviewing with this organization to make sure you insist on meeting them in person and understanding everything about their organization.
